John Lander received his B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois. He graduated from Drake University law School in 1995 with honors. He is licensed to practice law in the United States District Courts for both the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa and the United States Court of Appeals, as well as all Iowa state courts.

John began his career with this firm as an associate in 1995 and has been a member of Brown, Kinsey, Funkhouser and Lander P.L.C. since 1999. John's practice consists primarily of Social Security Disability, personal injury, and wrongful death.

John is a member of the Iowa Association for Justice and  is currently the vice president of the Cerro Gordo County Bar Association.  John is also a sustaining member of NOSSCR the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives.  

John is Chairman of the Board for Prairie Ridge Integrated Behavioral Health.  Additionally, John is a member of Grace Evangelical Church in Mason City and is a private pilot and member of Chapter 94 Experimental Aircraft Association

John lives in Mason City with his wife, Angelyn and their son Jack.
