John Lander received his B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois. John graduated from Drake University Law School in 1995 with honors receiving distinguished American Jurisprudence Awards in Contracts, Agency and Partnership. He is licensed to practice law in the United States District Courts for both the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa, the United States Court of Appeals, and all Iowa state courts.


John began his career with this firm as an associate in 1995 and has been a member of Brown, Kinsey, Funkhouser and Lander P.L.C. since 1999.

Currently, John is the managing partner.

John is a board member and holds various officer positions for Prairie Ridge Integrated Behavioral Health, YFC, Good Shepard, Inc. and OneVision. Additionally, John is a member of the Iowa Judicial and Magistrate Nominating Commissions. In his free time, John is an instrument rated private pilot and enjoys flying with friends and family.


John lives in Mason City with his wife, Angelyn and their son Jack.

Jack Lander received his B.S. degree in Business Economics from Iowa State University in 2022 with honors. Jack graduated from Drake University Law School in 2024 with honors. He is licensed to practice law in the United States District Courts for both the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa, the United States Court of Appeals, and all Iowa state courts.

He finished his studies at 22 years old, aiming to develop a primary practice in litigation. Jack is a member of the C. Edwin Moore Inn of Court and Iowa Associate for Justice.


Jack lives in Saint Ansgar with his fiancé, Lauren.
